It was on this day in Maha Sud Pancham Vikram Samvat 1882, that Lord Swaminarayan wrote the Shikshapatri at Hari Mandap in Vadtal. This Scripture contains the fundamental key points taken from the other Scriptures of our Sanatan Dharma and compiled into 212 verses giving us the ultimate basic rules and regulations that every Satsangi should follow in everyday life. It can be classed as the essence of all the other Shastras summarised.
Shree Swaminaryan Temple Stanmore celebrated Shikshapatri Jayanti by holding a special pujan, whereby many satsangis brought their own Shikshapatri's to pay reverence to this holy scripture.
Loya Saak Utsav was also celebrated on this auspicious day whereby
Saints from Shree Swaminarayan Temple Bhuj, did vagar of Ringada Nu Saak and made Bajra na Rotla, which was then served as prasad to all haribhaktos.
