| Importance
of Mandir in the Modern World |
|
The
mandir is a very important place of worship for all
Hindus. Lord Swaminarayan established six temples in
his lifetime and some were under construction when he
left his mortal body. Lord Swaminarayan himself carried
bricks on his head during the construction of Gopinath
mandir in Gadhada. Lord himself did murti pratishta
and later gave this right to both the Acharya’s.

Vachnamrut
Jayanti is the birth of our main scriptures in the
Swaminarayan sampradya, it was first written on Magasar
Shud 4 (this year celebrated on the 5th of December,
2005). Vachn meaning speech and amrut meaning nectar,
or simply the nectarine like words from the Lord Himself
defines the term Vachnamrut. Shri Hari's teachings
and discourse were delivered at different places during
a decade-long period at Gadhada, Sarangpur, Kariyani,
Loya, Panchala, Ahmedabad, Vadtal, Jetalpur, and Asali
etc.
