compiled by Shatanand Swami. In this shastra, Suvrat

The 11th day of the bright half of the lunar
month of Kartik is celebrated as Prabodhani Ekadashi
or Kartik Ekadashi. This day is celebrated also as
Tulsi Vivaha. Kartik Ekadashi ends the season of festivals
and begins the season of marriages, music and dance
festivals and with the cooler months bringing clement
weather, the season of touring and travel also begins
in earnest.
