Vasant Panchmi / Shikshapatri Jayanti – Monday 11th February 2008

It was on this day in Maha Sud Pancham Vikram Samvat 1882, that Lord Swaminarayan wrote the Shikshapatri at Hari Mandap in Vadtal. This Scripture contains the fundamental key points taken from the other Scriptures of our Sanatan Dharma and compiled into 212 verses giving us the ultimate basic rules and regulations that every Satsangi should follow in everyday life. It can be classed as the essence of all the other Shastras summarised. By following these basic rules and regulations one can attain Dharma, Artha, Kama and Moksha.
